So, my wife and I managed to walk away from a bad accident Saturday evening. We were traveling straight along Jalan Templer (my wife was driving) when a Kancil just zipped out of one of the side roads and attempted to cross over to turn to the opposite direction, and froze right in the middle of the road. We tried to brake in time, but ended up smashing right into the drivers door of the other car.
Miraculously, the other driver was unhurt except for a small cut from the flying glass from her door, I got a banged up knee from the impact (breaking the glove compartment in the process) but overall, it wasn’t as serious as it could have been, probably also due to my wife’s attempt to do an emergency brake to slow down her car.
Thank God that we managed to walk away from it. I wasn’t really hurting very much that Saturday evening, but Sunday brought the pain, and so now I hobble around campus like an old man (at least I have the crankiness for it).
